I am truly blessed.
So grateful for Ryans mom Lori and husband Steve, for their warm hospitality for our get together..the weather co-operated and we could spend some time out side..enjoying a game or two of "corn hole"..(bean bags to us older people)..
dinner at the Fox and Hounds restaurant
The end of the perfect celebration today..at this restaurant with some family and friends.
Sis Donna and her daughters Kim, and Kari, Glen and Sherry came up from Florida. My son Steve and his son, my grandson, Ryan..came in from Ohio. Friends in Wisconsin, Denise and Bob, Erica and Jeff...a wonderful time..
Well, I reached 90 on the 13th of July !! BUT...as for the wisdom, body and energy..I have to say I'm blessed.

Age is just a number !

Yes,  I'm blessed, over the years I have been continously blessed with good  health most of the time..Oh sure, now I put up with osteo arthritis, hearing aids, glasses, but...I can still participate quite well in most things I like to do, and I like to do many things. I have done many things over the years.

I still try to use as many of the talents, God gave me, There was a time I called myself a "jack of all trades"..actually, I found I could accomplish most things I put my mind to..!

As a young child I loved competing in races at picnics. I loved to draw, tell stories, loved to write stories and act out stories with my friends.  I guess that was the beginning of my interest in crafts and acting..which I did a lot of as a young woman and as a not so young woman.. I used my craft talent for pleasure and some business.

The acting and singing talent was a very fulfilling time in my life..starting in grade school, singing solo's in the yearly programs, then as young woman doing on-camera TV commercial work. I was an actress/singer, in community theater (also became the director of many plays with community theater.)  The frosting on the cake happened later as I was cast in numerous feature roles at the Melody top theater and starlight theater. Being paid as a union actress!.

Oh my...what a great time that was. I  had the pleasure of working with known actors like Mimi Hines, George Chicarus (of West side story fame) Orsen Been..to name a few..

I do not waste my God given talents, I still do some crafts, with what energy and what my hands allow..I love to write and share interesting articles that help improve daily living..mainly healthy living, travel hints, also motivational, inspirational articles through my blog, and encouraging others near or nearing my age (as you all may be some day)  to stay active

I also was in sales and became the PR director for 11 Holiday Inns. And started a concession business..(I loved being with the people enjoying a fair or festival.)

Besides being aware of the talents and energy that I've been blessed with by my father in heaven, I was blessed with a father, and a mother, here on earth that encouraged me to always strive for the best and the next!  They were my best coaches, encouragers, dispensing love at all times.

Be that to  your children and always look for ways to help all children of the country and world.

To say I did not and still don't let the "grass grow under my feet" (as my dad would say) I stay active and involved in functions at church, my community.

I look forward to new and more challenges in the future.  I advise everyone to just keep on doing and sharing, that's what keeps  years added to your lifes/story  I know...I'm still doing it!!!

This is the day the Lord has made, I shall rejoice in it..

Hi Geri: Oh, my, how the years fly! I remember your 80th birthday party well. It seems as though it was just a couple of years ago. Rack up another 10!
