Who shall I fear?

My beautiful  Hibiscus..continuing to bloom..and remind me of God's love.(click to enlarge)

In these times of trial and unrest..we are given gifts of beauty to enjoy and rest in.

Our God is an awesome God..I AM SO THANKFUL, He is providing even the smallest gift to make the start of my day pleasant.

I'm reminded of this as I have been watching and enjoying the multiple blooms on my little Hibiscus plant.  This little flower has given me many days of Joy..so far it has produced 6 new flowers and I see at least 4 more forming.

I start my day with devotions, and time with the Lord. I do not turn on the local or cable news until much later and then I am very careful of what I listen to. Too much negativity and fear mongers out there.

Because of this being an election year along with the pandemic, so many are living in fear, getting messages of hate and watching violence in our cities the likes we have not seen before..

No matter what political choices we have, the messages from opposing canidates should be based on their ability to lead, to change (hopefully for the better) and truth..TRUTH seems to be the hardest point to get across.  Instead, we are being fed hate!

What we are seeing and what our children are seeing is not of God. The enemy of our souls has run wild and is creating fear among us..

Remember...Jesus sacrifice was to give us freedom from FEAR He gave us the path to eternal life.... we are not given a spirit of fear, but of love,  power and a sound mind..The enemy is trying to confuse that gift..

I listened to a seminar given by Joyce Meyers this morning and the following 4 scripture points especially stood out.

When we are in fear God is there...turn to Him for  comfort and peace.  "No weapon formed against you can prosper" Isaiah 54:17

Read, and remember these words of comfort from our Lord.

1. Our God is greater ... "If God is for us, who can be against us?                                                                                   Romans 8:31

2. The Lord is my Light and salvation; Whom shall I fear?

                                                                               Psalm 27:1

3.  The Lord is on my side; I will no fear.  What can man do to me?

                                                                               Psalm 118:6

4.  The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

                                                                               Hebrews 13:6

I am so saddened to see what is going on ..I was born during the great depression 1931. We helped one another..to make things work.

My dad worked 2 and sometimes 3 jobs..mom and dad would sit at the kitchen table and clean carbirators for .25 each..Dad would go fishing and provide for us.. The country worked together to bring about better times. I was around  8 or 9 when the WW11 broke out..the patriotism was wonderful.. the country worked together to ration and provide for the war efforts..We survived without attacking each others point of view or politics..Yes, there were some bad things done in the name of 'survival'..but it also did not bring about the burning and looting we see today..

When our world was going wrong and evil was all around..God sent his only son not to condem it but to save it.

When Jesus started to preach his salvation messages and did many miracles the people gathered and followed and loved him..THEN.. the evil ones rumors and hate started..until they crucified him..and for what?? for his love and good works..

Our God loves us and wants us ALL to be with him one day..no matter who we are or what we have done..he loves us and wants  to save us.

How  can we turn our back on the good in our country and not be against the evil going on..WE MUST PRAY for forgiveness and continue to pray until peace is once more in our land and world.

Your vote will count..pray for guidance when you make your choice..We have been blessed to live in AMERICA.. We need to be careful to keep this country blessed and great as it was and can be again..

The following statement is by Dr. Ben Carson.

As citizens of this great nation, we must all take it upon ourselves as our duty, privilege and honor to preserve American values and principles by voting according to actual facts and not rhetoric. KNOW your candidates and what they have actually accomplished. Compare mainstream media reports with what you see with your eyes and feel with your heart. Then make your decisions!! Our kids and grand kids quality of life depend on it!!
