Heavenly Father, as I navigate the spiritual potholes on life’s road, thank You for reminding me to look up to You for help.
The picture looks like fun..moving along in the open air and enjoying the ride.
Hmmmm...even as seniors, as the white hair bunch! Yes, it is possible
to ride over the potholes of life and enjoy each day that God has given us..
Regardless of age, we can overcome the blips
in our daily life..I said, overcome, not avoid ! Because the facts are that we will encounter many of those blips, potholes as we move onward in our lives.
Moving onward, in age, not necessarily in careers, etc. Going on after a problem or trauma we experienced.
We are living in a do-it-yourself world...thinking we can handle anything on our own.. These are times of spiritual warfare, our soul needs rest..and we can get that rest when we turn the problems over to God..
I woke this morning with terrible muscle cramps in both of my calves..OWWWEEE...after massaging the muscles, the cramps finally released.
I remembered I use to have a bottle of liqued magnisium that worked to release the spasms quickly..however it was gone awhile ago and I didn't remember the company I bought it from, so i could buy it and have it available.
....soooo, I had my cup of coffee and my devotional time with the Lord..and ASKED for help..,..... to locate a product to order and have available
when this problem should come up again.. I was able to focus and search until I found a product along with good information on the whys and how too's..
Then reading on and getting more information
on why I get these painful spasms..the reason were many..some being,
....lack of potasium/magnisium..dehydration..my age.. details I learned..or should I say, I forgot! on the
cause of the spasms, not only in my legs but in my ribs and other places.
I am guilty of not drinking enough water, and at 89
I guess i would have a tendancy to dehydrate..also, being too sedentary..the aches and pains of arthritis puts me in the position of inactivity much too often. Altho, lately I have made an effort to walk more ..could the extra and long negleted
exercise cause the muscles to rebel?
I accept the that fact..I am trying to do better..REALLY, I need to practice what I learned
In my defense, I am only human and humans fail..that's why I MUST call on the strength and help from my Lord more often.
In this case, I did and I was able to focus on seeking the product I want in case of future cramping..and also, remember what I read about... movement, drinking water, etc. I
can also admit my age interfers with what my body still wants to do, but, I will not accept that my age limits me from enjoying the ride through the potholes of life!
"This is the day the Lord has made, I shall rejoice and be glad in it".
Today is the first day of the rest of your life! enjoy it..Praise God for it!
