Thank God for this day!

The sunflower, a reminder of good things to come.

Bright Spots in Bleak Places

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

Psalm 86:5

Have you ever come upon a sunflower, or any flower, growing among the weeds or thistles?  ( click on the image to enlarge photo)

I have,... and that little flower lifted my spirits..I was reminded, if it can survive among the hardness of it's surroundings..I can too.

Loving God, thank You for being compassionate and gracious. Help me to remember how You’ve been faithful and answered my prayers in the past—and will again in the future.

Psalm 109 :1-5..In these hard times, take time to read this passage..and know our God is here to help and save us from the wickedness surrounding us.

Look for the simple signs that lift our spirits and confirm the knowledge that we are in God's hands..  Just seeing that lone sunflower in the middle of a rocky, prickly place reminded me to keep the faith, be grateful for each day.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Live it with Hope, Joy, Love, compassion..these are the things to focus on..not the evil surrounding us..Look at the sunflower, not the weeds of life.

"This is the day the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it" Psalm 118:24
