I'm not sorry I Left town before mother nature decided to send a winter preview this weekend.

I hope all my family and friends are staying warm..Don't want to rub it in but....I really needed the sunny day in the pool and whirlpool.  It helped to relax some of the tight muscles in  my back...AHHHH

My nephew is a great driver, but sitting in the back seat I was experiencing all the rough roads..I had a rude reminder of why I fly to Florida every October.  In the past years when I traveled down to visit my folks, I was the driver, it was so much better behind the wheel!  .

That's the past...it's necessary to make many changes as I grow older..Unfortunately this year I could not get the flight I needed to make the trip.  My niece and nephew make their yearly 6 month home base in  Ft. Meyers every year and have so much to take down they dragged a 14 ft. trailor filled with their Florida home personal and extra pocessions along..so I was able to travel the 3 days with them

I usually fly nonstop on Southwest airline..No baggage fees for 2 bags, and I'm taken to the gate in a chair and boarded befrore the other passengers..a great service for the elderly and handicaped..At 88 years old I guess I qualify as both, because of my arthritis, the walk is just too much.  I also take my walker along, It's checked through and is so helpful when we do special fun things, it has a seat so I can rest when I need to, when I'm trying to keep up with the younger generation the walker is a plus..

I like to tip the person taking me to and from the gate they are often students earning extra money.

Take advantage of these kinds of services made available, and stay active enjoying different seasons and sights when ever you can..as the saying goes....LIFE IS SHORT, EAT DESSERT FIRST.

And my favorite,

"This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm118:24
