"Stations of the Cross" in St. John, In.
The beginning of Holy Week....Christ
rode the donkey into Jerusalem , the crowds greeted him, shouting, "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" spreading clothing on the road, others cut down leafy branches and spread them on the road.
How sad He must have been knowing this same crowd cheering wonderful greetings to him would soon be calling for his death!. And how did those same people feel about what they did after they realized He was the Messiah sent to save them.
The following excerpts are from the publication "Our Daily Bread".
has invited us to bring our burdens to Him..."Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" ~Matthew 11:28
He knows we are not built to bear burdens alone. When we cast them
on the One who wants to bear our burdens (Psalm 68:19 ; 1 Peter 5:7) He replaces them with forgiveness, healing, and restoration. No burden is too heavy for Him - (Cindy Hess kasper)
Lord, thank you for lovingly carrying our burdens. In times of trouble, help us to leave those burdens in Your strong hands and to find our rest in You..
This is a week to think about the ultimate sacrifice..."He paid the Price"..for us !
