The world today is filled with so much anger and strife so at times it seems bleak and hopeless, we need to pause and remember
who is still with us every day. Our Savior Jesus Christ, sent by God to save us from our sins and give us hope and life eternal.
As children of God, we need to draw close to
God and hold onto our hope encourage one another to revitalize energy.
When there is a lack of energy a wave of complacency starts setting in..the spark of interest in what is right and good is
dimming. The spark can be rekindled by gathering together to encourage one another through groups and small ministries. Reaching out to others, helping and offering opportunities. Assuring each other they are not alone.
The subject of death to many is very depressing..but, if we keep in mind that our death is merely an instant transition to life eternal when we have
asked Jesus into our hearts, we receive forgiveness for our sins.." for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." (Romans 2:10)
I know that this seems too easy..but God loves us so much he did not one soul lost, he wants us all to be with him in Heaven one day..so he sent his only
son Jesus to make the way by taking the sins of the world on himself and give us the way to eternal life.
Our God is a God of love and forgiveness, he is not asking for works, animal or
physical sacrifices as in the old testament. He wants our love and he gives all his love freely. Thru Jesus our savior, our fortress our redeemer, our healer...
Don't allow the TV, newspapers or radio news bring you down, with its story after story of bad news..We have the GOOD NEWS.. of Jesus and we need to share that good news and be a shining light in the world for
all to see and know we have the answer of hope !
The Audacity of Hope has been a wonderful series of sermons/teachings the last
few weeks by my Pastor Rory at Lifeline church..it can be reviewed and read on our church website. www.mylifelinechurch.org
Thank You pastor Rory for reminding us that we have
'THE AUDACITY OF HOPE"
(I copied and pasted a couple of statements from a previous post below that fit into this subject also.)
regarding selling a house - not a home...We are reminded that a house is not "the" home..it's the place where your love is and gathers
C. S. Lewis wrote, “Our Father refreshes us on the journey with some pleasant innsth, but will not encourage us to mistake them for home.” We can thank God for the “pleasant inns” in life, but let’s remember
at our real home is in heaven where we “will be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). —Keila Ochoa
Dear Lord, I thank You for heaven, my eternal home.
"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm118:24
